Lay and align concrete block, brick, and related masonry materials following blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.

Mix and prepare mortar or grout, and cut bricks or blocks to size using hand and power tools.

Build walls, partitions, foundations, retaining walls, and other structures with precision and attention to detail.

Repair or restore old masonry structures as needed.

Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations at all job sites.

Travel regularly to job sites, often out of town, with lodging and per diem provided.

Work closely with foremen and other team members to meet project deadlines.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and safe manner.

Work independently when required, and maintain job schedule with minimal supervision.

Remain open and willing to learn new techniques, tools, and responsibilities as the trade evolves.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a block mason.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.

Proficient with masonry tools, including levels, trowels, saws, and jointers.

Willingness to travel 4–5 days a week, including overnight stays.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Reliable personal vehicle for travel to and from job sites.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a team environment.

Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying weather conditions.

Teachable mindset and willingness to learn new skills and take constructive feedback.

Experience laying glass block or willingness to learn proper glass block installation techniques.
