Skilled HVAC Helper

Job Summary:
Mullins Mechanical is looking for a dependable and experienced Skilled HVAC Helper to assist with the installation of commercial HVAC systems at our project in Ridgeland, MS. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to support journeymen and lead installers with tasks ranging from ductwork to large-scale unit placement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in installing and setting rooftop units, air handlers, VAVs, and duct systems
• Support layout and measurements per construction drawings and blueprints
• Help with cutting, fitting, and assembling sheet metal and flexible ducts
• Assist with the installation of refrigerant lines, condensate lines, and control wiring
• Organize tools, materials, and job site setup
• Maintain compliance with all job site safety standards
• Operate basic power tools and job site equipment under supervision
• Perform cleanup and assist with final punch list items as directed

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in commercial HVAC or construction
• Understanding of commercial HVAC system components and layout
• Ability to work at heights, on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in HVAC installations
• Ability to read and follow construction blueprints (basic level)
• OSHA 10 (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
