Job Description
Job Title: Combo Welder Fitter for Barge Hull Repair
 
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
 
 
We are currently looking for a skilled Combo Welder Fitter to join our team for hull repair on barges in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will specialize in welding with 3/16" 6010 stick rod and .052 fluxcore wire. The role will primarily focus on hull repair and maintenance of barges, showcasing expertise in welding and fitting tasks.
 
Responsibilities:
- Perform hull repair and maintenance work on barges using a combination of welding and fitting techniques
- Weld with 3/16" 6010 stick rod and .052 fluxcore wire to repair and reinforce barge hulls
- Fit and align steel components for welding repair projects
- Inspect hulls for damage, assess repair needs, and execute repairs accordingly
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects efficiently and effectively
 
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Combo Welder Fitter specializing in 3/16" 6010 stick rod and .052 fluxcore wire
- Expertise in hull repair and maintenance for barges or marine vessels
- Ability to perform welding and fitting tasks accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship in repair projects
- Certification in welding processes, particularly 3/16" 6010 stick rod and .052 fluxcore wire
- Physical stamina and resilience to work in challenging environments
- Prior experience in barge repair and maintenance is preferred
Salary26.00 Hour
