We are currently looking for candidates who are highly motivated and eager to learn to join our growing team. This LABORER position will play an essential role in fabricating machinery for erosion control, assisting with maintenance and repairs, and supporting research and development efforts. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment, with the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects both in the shop and on-site.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile LABORER to join our fabrication team. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for advancement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of machinery used in erosion control, as well as contributing to equipment research and development. This position involves hands-on work in both shop and field settings, with occasional travel required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabrication Support:
    • Identify and select various metal stock and sizes for projects.
    • Assist in assembling finished products and machinery.
  • Shop and Field Operations:
    • Prepare machines for painting or finishing as required.
    • Assist in maintaining and repairing machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
    • Maintain clean and organized workstations to promote efficiency and safety.
    • Participate in machinery installation, maintenance, and repair at multiple locations in Minnesota and potentially out of state.
  • Research and Development:
    • Collaborate with the team on R&D initiatives to improve equipment productivity and functionality.
Qualifications:
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
    • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting a tape measure.
    • Familiarity with common tools and their proper use.
    • Basic mechanical skills.
    • Ability to disassemble and reassemble projects.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Flexible and adaptable to varying schedules and tasks.
  • Licenses and Travel:
    • A valid driver's license is required.
    • Willingness to travel out of state for projects as needed.
