Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator in Ithaca, NY. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment used in utility-scale solar projects such as Bulldozer, excavator, mini-excavator and skid steer to complete civil work.

Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, skid steers and other machinery, in the execution of utility-scale solar projects.
- Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation activities, including grading, excavation, and leveling, to ensure optimal conditions for solar module installation; IE: Build or expanding roads, hauling materials, trenching or drainage prep.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality, identifying and addressing issues promptly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and your team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and fellow operators to achieve project goals within specified timelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment, in utility-scale solar projects.
- Experience: General Labor experience minimum of 1 year, must be willing to work as a labor when not operating.
- Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety practices and awareness of potential hazards associated with heavy equipment operation.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Direct Hire and Traveling position (Local to NY area preferred)
