Description SUMMARY

Perform duties to remove, repair and installation of electrical components and basic to intermediate troubleshooting. Employee will work under minimal

supervision where the primary objective is safe production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Will perform preventative maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment (PLC, VFC, Control systems, motor controls, systems and components, process controls, instrumentation.
  • Assist with troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment.
  • Assist in Installing alarms, telephones, circuits and other building fixtures for lights, panels, and power sources.
  • Contact service or manufacturer sources for information to submit requests for parts.
  • Use electrical testing devices such as multi-meters, generators, scopes, and precision gauges.
  • Operate power and hand tools, electrical equipment, HVAC systems, bench equipment and CNC machines.
  • Refer questionable conditions to supervisor or appropriate personnel.
  • Write and submit log sheets, work or parts orders, or other required documents. Observe all company policies and regulations including safety, housekeeping,
  • and quality of work with support of ISO procedures and standards.
  • Utilize individually and/or further the use of total quality concepts, tools, and techniques to support continuous quality improvement in all processes in which the position participates with a positive "Can Do" attitude.
  • Support, encourage and maintain a positive team working atmosphere throughout the company.
  • Perform other duties as requested or necessary to meet business conditions and changes.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE -
  • A minimum of (4) years' experience in industrial electrical and/or instrumentation repair and maintenance, OR
  • Education and some experience in industrial electrical and/or instrumentation repair and maintenance.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine

reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with other employees of

the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
