Description Description:

Heavy equipment operators are responsible for operating heavy machinery such as bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and excavators at the job site.

Major Responsibilities:

Operating heavy equipment to perform work site tasks, such as digging, loading, and moving materials
Ensuring that safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times
Conducting daily inspections on equipment
Coordinating and communication with other workers to ensure efficient task completion

Qualifications:

Have 5 years' experience operating various types of heavy equipment
Highschool diploma or GED
Valid driver's license
Pass a drug screen and background check

Physical demands:

Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of problems
Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls

Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
Make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for safe conduct at the job site and to meet job responsibilities
