360X Staffing is hiring for Marine Joiners - Carpenters that have experience working in the marine industry ideally, but if not, must have a strong background in carpentry.

 

A marine joiner is a skilled tradesperson who specializes in the carpentry work on boats, ships, and other marine vessels. Marine joiners are responsible for crafting and installing interior woodwork, cabinetry, fixtures, and furniture onboard marine vessels. They work with a variety of materials such as wood, laminate, and Sheet metal to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces within the vessel. Marine joiners must have a strong understanding of marine construction techniques, materials, and safety standards specific to the marine industry. They play a crucial role in turning the interior design concepts into reality, creating comfortable and functional living and working spaces on board.
 
Marine joiners need to have a combination of practical skills, technical knowledge, and experience to excel in their role. 
Some of the requirements for this role include:
  1. Carpentry Skills: A strong foundation in carpentry including knowledge of woodworking tools, techniques, and materials is essential for a marine joiner.
  2. Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand the design requirements and specifications for the project.
  3. Marine Industry Knowledge: Understanding of marine construction standards, safety regulations, and materials specific to the marine industry.
  4. Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail are crucial in marine joinery to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and precise installations
  5. Tack welding experience will be needed for this position, they will be installing shipboard furniture, appliances bulkheads etc.
