Job Description

360X Staffing is hiring for Stick Welders for a shipyard in Missouri. MUST be able to pass a weld test and have experience in welding 3/16" 6010 & 1/8'' 7018 stick electrodes on 3/8'' carbon steel plate.

 

Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Stick Welders for barge repair projects along the Mississippi River waterfront. This position involves welding 3/16" 6010 & 1/8'' 7018 stick electrodes on 3/8'' carbon steel plate in 3F (up) and 4F lap weld positions.
 Perform high-quality welds that meet strict standards for continuity and structural integrity. Work in a challenging waterfront environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with a team of welders, fabricators, and repair specialists. Maintain precision and attention to detail in all welding tasks.
 
Requirements:
 Proven experience in Stick Welding, particularly 6010 & 7018 electrodes on carbon steel. Ability to pass visual weld inspections and maintain quality with minimal undercut. Familiarity with barge repair processes and working in waterfront conditions. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Must pass a 10-panel drug test, 7-year background check, and pre-employment medical evaluation. Certifications/training in welding, safety, and quality standards preferred.
