AdKore has a need for a Safety Coordinator for a commercial construction project in the Hermiston area. This is mid-level position that requires an OSHA 30 minimum, First Aid, CPR, AED. Site Safety and construction experience required. Preference is for a local candidate but will also consider per diem for a well-qualified Safety professional. Long term project with potential for permanent hire.

Project is scheduled to last at least 8 months ++, minimum of 40 hours per week + overtime, Monday - Friday but must be willing to work overtime as needed. Currently working 50 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Risk Assessments
• Develop & Implement Safety Programs
• Lead Safety Initiatives
• Safety Training: Provide safety orientation, training, and updates to all employees and subcontractors, ensuring that everyone on-site understands their role in maintaining a safe work environment.
• Compliance Management
• Incident Response & Reporting

Requirements

• Proven experience in as Site Safety Technician/Coordinator on a large scale, commercial construction site.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and resolve safety risks before they escalate.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and engage team members at all levels.
• OSHA 30 required
• Certification as a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), CHST, CSP, or equivalent safety credential is a plus.
