What You'll Be Doing:
  • Be knowledgeable in the requirements of the NAVFAC P 307.
  • Adhere to all Safety requirements and safe practices.
  • As Boat Coxswain, ensure safe boat operations and ensure all embarked riders and deck hands comply with PPE and Safety requirements.
  • Guide Rigger Helpers or other trades when assigned to assist.
  • Responsible for the proper check in/out of all WHE equipment.
  • Responsible for the proper marking of all WHE equipment.
  • May be required to travel up to 25% to conduct company business.
  • Must know all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to environmental protection.
  • Assist in the receipt, moor and departure of vessels.
  • Adhere to all corporate core values, policies and procedures in the execution of all responsibilities.
  • Must be able to work effectively with co-workers in a professional manner at all times.
  • Must be available to work overtime if required.
  • May be exposed to sharp edges, fall hazards, hazardous chemicals and conditions, poor illumination and inclement weather.
  • Shall handle weights to 100 pounds with an average of 50 pounds and carry up to a distance of 200 feet.
What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must have completed a Certified Advanced Rigger and Planning course or ten (10) years in a Maritime Rigging position or equivalent military experience.
  • Must be able to read English and have a sound knowledge of blueprints, specifications, diagrams and sketches.
  • Must have a sound knowledge of the basic mechanisms and be able to plan work and to select the proper work procedure and equipment.
    • Have successfully completed the NAVFAC P-307 General Crane Safety Refresher exam
    • Qualified as a Workboat Operator (LCM type)
    • Qualified as Forklift Operator
    • Must be able to fulfill the requirements of the NAVFAC P-307 Rigger-in-Charge
    • May be required to qualify as the Load Test Director IAW the NAVFAC P-307
      Must have a valid driver's license and qualify to operate government/company vehicles in accordance with the Corporate Fleet Vehicle Safety Manual.

      Must satisfactorily complete the following qualifications/certifications within specified time period per Offer Letter:
