360X Staffing is hiring for Electricians (entry level) for shipyard work for winter repair season for 12 weeks starting January 1st.

Position: Shipyard Electrician

Industry: Ship Repair

Job Description:

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment onboard ships and marine structures.

- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine wiring layouts and connections.

- Install and wire electrical components such as motors, generators, lighting systems, navigation equipment, and communication systems.

- Test electrical systems and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve electrical problems.

- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

- Adhere to electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.

- Collaborate with other trade workers, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate electrical projects.

- Keep accurate records of electrical work performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as an electrician in shipyard or marine construction environments.

- Knowledge of marine electrical systems, including AC and DC systems, control circuits, and lighting systems.

- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and tools for troubleshooting.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.

- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or relevant certification.

- Understanding of electrical codes and regulations specific to the marine industry.
