360X Staffing is hiring for structural welders willing to work in a shipyard. This position will be for winter repair season. Must be able to pass a weld test.

 

Journeyman Structural Welder (Fluxcore - 2G and 3G Certification) Perform welding operations using .052 Fluxcore wire on 3/4" carbon steel plate in the 2G and 3G positions. Interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements. Set up welding equipment, including welding machines, gas tanks, and welding tools. Prepare welding surfaces by cleaning, beveling, and tacking metal components together. Weld components together according to the required welding procedures and quality standards. Pass welding tests in the 2G and 3G positions using Fluxcore welding process on 3/4" carbon steel plate. Inspect and test welded surfaces for defects, accuracy, and quality.
Duration- 15 weeks
