Job description We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, particularly in an industrial setting. This role involves working on construction sites and requires proficiency in using various hand and power tools. The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while adhering to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Conduct tests on electrical systems using an Ohmmeter and other diagnostic equipment. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and NEC standards during all work activities. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements as needed. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
Valid electrician’s license or certification.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as an industrial electrician. Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or similar role, with a focus on commercial electrical work preferred. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety practices in an industrial environment. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings related to electrical installations. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment related to electrical work. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on construction sites. Relevant certifications or licenses in electrical work are highly desirable.
