LOCATION:
This role is a traveling position. You may work on various project sites across the US. Per diem will be provided for those willing to travel and work onsite.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Tepa Companies are seeking an Electrician Foreman responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems working from a technical blueprint. Supervises electrical work crews.
Job Functions:
Review and execute plans and specifications.
Complete layout, sketch dimensional drawings of pads, sleeves, underground runs, electrical rooms, and equipment rooms.
Assist electrical crews in the performance of assigned duties.
Ensure equipment is in proper working condition.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, lighting systems, apparatuses, fixtures, and equipment.
Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
Perform general electrical maintenance.
Inspect and maintain transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
Comply with National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them.
Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels, etc.).
Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc.
Troubleshoot damaged systems and units to identify hazards or malfunctions; repair or substitute damaged units.
Coordinate installation with other trades on project sites.
Ensure safe installation practices are followed.
Monitor daily procedures to ensure proper quality is maintained and schedules are being followed.
Create progress reports daily and ensure any significant information is communicated.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
A minimum of 3 years experience working as a Journeyman III Electrician
Familiar with Industrial Construction, Refinery Operation, and/or Fuel Operations
Must have advanced working knowledge of various test equipment
Must have an advanced knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair
Must be able to communicate clearly with Superintendents, Operators, Laborers, and all other personnel on site
Must be able to lead a crew as a team
Must be able to understand, read, and write in English
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and written instructions
Must have an advanced knowledge of the National Electric Code, and applicable Unified Facilities Guide Specifications and Unified Facilities Criteria
Must be able to troubleshoot and have a strong attention to detail
State-issued electrician's license is required
Must be able to pass a background check required to access US military installations
Must have a valid driver's license
Master Electrician Certificate; preferred
Electrical degree from a technical college; preferred
