Job Description

360X Staffing is hiring for Structural Stick Welders for long term work in South Point, OH.

MUST have experience with 3/16" rod
 
Job Overview:
We are seeking skilled Stick Welders to join our team for long-term repair and maintenance work on barges in a shipyard environment. Candidates must be experienced in stick welding (SMAW) using 3/16" 6010 & 1/8" 7018 electrodes on carbon steel in both vertical up (3F) and overhead (4F) lap weld positions. All welds will undergo a visual inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural welding repairs and maintenance on barges.
  • Work in an outdoor shipyard environment, including winter conditions and rainy weather (except during extreme conditions such as heavy downpours or lightning).
  • Wear required Personal Flotation Devices (life jackets) when working on board vessels.
  • Follow all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
Job Requirements:
Proficiency in SMAW (stick welding) on carbon steel Ability to pass a welding test (3F & 4F positions) Comfortable working outdoors in cold, wet, and fluctuating weather conditions Able to commit to at least 3 months of work (project expected to last 1+ year) Prior experience working in shipyards or marine environments is a plus
