360X Staffing is hiring for an outside Machinist Specialist working in a commerical shipyard. MUST be willing to work all hours each week 50-58. MUST have experience working as a machinist for a min of 3 years.

 

Position Summary: This position is responsible for machinery equipment, parts, machinery, interiors and exteriors of ships, and shipyard buildings at our vast, 63-acre facility.
Detailed Description:
  • Follows directions under intermittent supervision.
  • Align and fit parts according to specifications using a variety of tools and      equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment.
  • Assemble, adjust, and repair a diversified range of equipment.
  • Diagnose and solve problems of all kinds.
  • Troubleshoot problems with all equipment as it arises.
  • Proper storage of equipment and pumps.
  • May be assigned miscellaneous tasks outside craft as required.
  • Clean tanks and machinery spaces to gas-free specifications.
  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Ability and willingness to engage in highly energetic pursuits on the waterfront.
  • Abide by safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain a commitment to and promote the Quality Policy.
  • Abide by all organizational policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma
· Ability to work while kneeling, crouching, squatting, lying down, overhead, etc.
· A self-starter who can work with minimal supervision on an 8 for 8 basis
· Ability to work in inclement weather
 
Desired Qualifications:
· 3+ years of experience preferred
· Prior shipyard experience a plus
· Outside Machinist / Millwright / Mechanic experience preferred
· Mechanically inclined
· Work from mechanical plans, blueprints, schematics, sketches, and read hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams
