Job Summary:
Assists in the tasks associated with mobile plant operations, including plant maintenance, equipment operation, quality control, customer service, general operations administration, and physical labor.
Highly qualified candidates will have prior experience in aggregate, ready-mix, and/or asphalt production plant operations, dispatching, and general operations administration. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities with frequently changing deadlines, while providing a positive customer experience.
Main Responsibilities:
• Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
• Support, promote, and practice the Company's core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies
• Assists with coordinating daily operations while ensuring safety, environmental, regulatory and production targets are met; this includes compliance with company policies, and applicable federal/state/local regulations; and maintaining effective relationships with other employees, internal/external customers/suppliers, and local/state/federal representatives.
• Safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools required to perform assigned tasks
• Assist with minor maintenance and repair of plant vehicles and equipment
• Maintains clean, safe, and organized working areas
• Works closely with plant operators, equipment operators, and others in completion of assigned tasks
• Engages in multiple forms of physical labor necessary for completion of plant production operations
• Coordinates tear down, transfer, and reassembly of mobile plant (if applicable)
• Travels to job site/mobile plant site locations as necessary
Education:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Valid drivers' license and ability to maintain a clean motor vehicle record required
Skills:
At least one year of experience working in an aggregate or asphalt production operation or similar industry preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
• Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
• Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear)
• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
• Frequent exposure to loud noise
• Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
• Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
• Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, and overnight travel may be required
Benefits and Perks:
Compensation*: $21-$25 DOE
*Estimated target starting compensation; actual compensation to be determined based on assessment of an individual's qualifications, education, and experience relevant to the role.
