- Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every work day (driver's license not required)
- Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)
- May be expected to travel where the project requires (multi-state opportunities)
Primary function of a Millwright: Install, dismantles and move machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in industrial establishments.
Typical Duties include but are not limited to:
- Read blueprints and schematics drawings to determine work procedures.
- Dismantle machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
- Move machinery and equipment, using hoist, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
- Assemble and installs equipment, such as winders, extruders, presses, CNC equipment, shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools.
- Construct foundation for machines, using hand tools and building material, such as wood, cement, grout and steel.
- Align machines and equipment, using hoist, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Assemble machines and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.
- May repair and lubricate machines and equipment. May be required to use optical alignment and/or dial indicators for precision alignment.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:
- Must have 3 year of verifiable experience.
- Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Follow instructions and read blueprints.
- Work at heights with out fear.
- Use logical step-by-step procedures in work.
- Plan work and solve problems.
- Make decisions based on measurable information.
- Perform a variety of duties which may change often.
- Operate machinery.
- May be required to satisfactorily demonstrate craft certification through written and/or performance test, developed and prepared by an independent third party.
