Marine Welder

Tradesmen International is currently hiring experienced Marine Welders for projects located in and around San Diego, CA.  This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of up to $40/hour based on experience for Local Candidates, and up to $29/hour BOE plus $150/Per Diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job site.  If you are a Marine Welder and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Weld Shell Plating, Fabricated Cast or Forged Components according to Specifications for Vessels, Tanks, or other Structural Assemblies
• Use Carbon Electrodes to Cut, Shape, and Groove Metal
• Prepare Workplace for Welding by Cleaning and/or Preheating, Removing Scrap, etc.
• Examine Weld Sizes of Weld Beads
• Perform Other Related Tasks as Assigned

Requirements:

• Previous Experience or TrainingOSHA 10 Maritime and Firewatch Certifications. Respirator Fit Certification.
• Pass Complete Vision Test
• Able to Pass a Drug Screen
• Able to Qualify in Two Gas Shielded FCAW Welding Processes 71T-1 and 811N3 in the Three Positions
• Knowledge of Welding Characteristics of Metal
• Able to Work at Heights, Confined Spaces, and any Assigned Shift
• Able to Comprehend Written and Verbal Instructions in English
• Able to Hear Warning Signals, read and Comprehend Safety Instructions, Regulations and Warnings
• Standard PPE
• Physically Capable of Performing all Requred Tasks
