Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HSE Compliance Specialist to support our client in the construction of a data center campus in Fayetteville, GA.  This role ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and promotes a strong safety culture on-site. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for identifying hazards, implementing risk mitigation strategies, working mission critical construction projects and ensuring that all personnel adhere to established safety protocols.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enforce site safety regulations to ensure compliance with OSHA, local and HSE policies of our client.
  • Conduct daily site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Ensure the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Maintain and update HSE documentation, including safety reports and compliance records.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers and regulatory bodies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Lead and participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks

Qualifications (Must Meet One of the Following):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related field + 1 year of experience in construction safety; OR
  • Safety Certification (STS-C, CHST, CSP) + 3 years of experience in construction safety; OR
  • 5 years of construction safety experience + OSHA 30-hour certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in data center construction or similar mission critical construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and other relevant safety standards.
  • Effective communication skills for training and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and navigate a large construction site for extended periods.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights when required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Must be comfortable working in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.).
  • Requires full range of motion including bending, kneeling, and reaching.
