Journeyman Millwrights - SHUTDOWN

DL Jones Construction is looking for Millwrights for a Shutdown located in Jamestown, North Dakota. 

Pay: $30 - $32 /hr + $125 / day per diem

Requirements 

• Minimum 3 years progressive experience in the role 

Shift Information 

• Schedule is 12+ hr days  
• Start Date is Monday April 7 through Friday April 18th  

Brief Description:

The Millwright’s role is to maintain or construct industrial machinery and equipment such as that which would be related to conveyors, pumps, machinery, tanks, and motors. This is achieved by reading blueprints and schematic drawings, dismantling and overhauling of machinery and equipment, leveling and aligning using precision tools, and assemble/installing of machinery and equipment. The Millwright will apply proven abilities to work with in precise limits or standards of accuracy, the use of logical step-by-step procedures in work, safety, planning, decision making, and problem solving skills on a daily basis to meet the basic requirements of a DL Jones Construction Millwright employee.

Responsibilities/abilities

• Assemble and install all machinery and equipment
• Dismantle machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and piping systems and determine the root cause of equipment failures.
  Replacing defective parts of machinery and equipment
• Adjusting clearances
• Alignment of all machinery and equipment
• Use laser alignment machine to align equipment and machinery
• Use dial indicators
• Utilize hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks to install various types of equipment
• Aligning machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, and plumb bobs.
• Operate cranes, boom trucks and man lifts
• Possess good communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to take direction, and adapt to rapidly changing priorities 
• Preform other related duties as assigned by the Project Superintendent.
