Apprentice Electrician

Brief Description:

The Electrician Apprentice reports directly to the Electrician Journeyman and supports the Journeyman in the installation, maintenance, operation and repair of electrical systems by handling tools, testing malfunctioning equipment and identifying defects. The incumbent is responsible for completing electrical wiring tasks, alignment adjustments and calibration of equipment following manuals, schematics, drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and code.

• While on rotation the work schedule is 6 days per week and 12 hours per day.

Essential Job Functions:

• Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and electrical code
• Assists Journeyman with installation tasks
• Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
• Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • North Dakota: Must be enrolled in state approved apprenticeship program or have ability to enroll upon hire.
  • Work Experience:
    • One (1) year electrical experience in oilfield preferred
  • License/Certifications:
    • Current and valid driver’s license with clean driving record 
    • OSHA 10 Certificate, or ability to obtain upon hire 
    • Post Job Offer Requirements:
    • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background ceck
