Job Summary:

This position is responsible for driving and operating the company's long and short-distance heavy trucks. As a CDL-A Driver/Laborer with Mersino, you will also serve as a working team member and individual contributor to the overall team's success. The CDL-A Driver/Laborer is to assist in the mobilization and demobilization to and from jobsites, as well as the setup, installation, removal, and teardown of equipment at jobsites.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate company owned and leased trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
  • Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials
  • Perform required before-, during-, and after-operation "user maintenance" and provide required report
  • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs
  • Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition
  • Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations
  • Understand, complete and manage required technical documentation
  • Drive heavy truck equipment on both short and long-distance routes as required
  • Ability to make overnight runs as required by shipping needs
  • Must be able to learn to operate all MHE used by the company
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to meet job requirements

Qualifications:
  • CDL A required
  • 1 or more year(s) experience as truck driver
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Specific Expectations:
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel long-distance and overnight
  • Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
