Description ITD - Welder Intern (Summer 2025)

Job Overview: An Intern within the Tool and Die Division will gain hands-on knowledge through real-world experiences in one of the following areas. The intern will work closely with experienced Associates to complete projects and produce the best quality of work for the customer

Welder/Fabricator- this position consists of using a spot-welding gun, hand, electric, or gas welding equipment to assemble metal components to effect repairs to various products and machinery. They are responsible for measuring sizes to ensure parts meet specifications that are shown on drawings or instructions. Welders may also need to fill holes or corrects mistakes in product and make bulges thin and curves in metal work pieces. To be successful in this role, one must be able to read and understand blueprints, sketches, and samples to accurately weld-up, fabricate, and repair parts to customer specifications.

Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm (Seasonal Work)
  • Overtime available
Qualifications:
  • The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
  • The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
  • The ability to use handheld tools such as Hammers, Screwdrivers, Wrenches, Squares, Tape Measures, Etc.
  • Standing: Continuously
  • Walking: Continuously
  • Sitting: Occasionally
  • Stooping (forward leaning): Occasionally.
  • Reaching/Working Overhead: Occasionally
Salary and Benefits:
  • Starting $18.00
