The Mechanical Superintendent provides leadership to all Mechanical team members, ensuring product and service delivery meets specifications and deadlines. The incumbent also ensures that all work is done in compliance with standard Mechanical practices, project specifications, federal and state regulations and in compliance with employer’s safety policies & procedures. 
 
Pay: Up to $1,000 per Day, DOE
 
Housing/Meals/Transportation: Company provided while on Alaska’s North Slope
 
Schedule: 2 weeks ON 2 weeks OFF
  • 80.5 hours per week
  • 26 weeks ON and 26 weeks OFF
  • Flexibility for special occasions, family needs, or other accommodations is available

 Essential Job Functions:   
  • Oversee installation, hook-up, and turnover of mechanical equipment scope.
  • Responsible for ensuring safe and successful execution of construction activities in their area
  • Manages teams through the execution phase, providing a focus on safety, quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Schedules work activities and manpower requirements to meet established completion dates.
  • Supervises the mechanical completion phase and transition to the final hookup and commissioning phase.
  • Ensures compliance with specifications, procedures, and plans.
  • Monitors workforce productivities / progress relative to schedule.
  • Provides safety leadership and mentoring.
  • Provides oversight of contractor's materials management / verification systems.
  • Interfaces with contractors, vendors, and Client for field level changes, e.g., scope, costs, etc.
  • Controls change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are quickly and properly documented, and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of work.
  • Interfaces with procurement in coordination of project vendors/subcontractors.
  • Verifies post-site arrival of procured equipment and engineering equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Qualifications:  
  • 8 years of Mechanical experience in industrial construction.
  • 5 years’ Mechanical Supervisory experience in Oil and Gas Industry
  • Personnel Management experience
  • Valid Driver License with clean driving record
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Safety Training

  • Take and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Industrial Mechanical Construction processes, procedures, standards and specifications

  • Ability and willingness, to receive and follow direction.
  • Demonstrated ability in supervising and leading others
  • Ability to set and balance priorities to complete projects on time
  • Experience in scheduling crews and managing daily customer deliverables
  • Ability to make decisions and recommend appropriate course of action in difficult situations
  • Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.
