Field Service Maintenance Tech - Duncan, SC

Pay Range based on experience: $26 - $28 / Hr.

We are looking for a talented Field Service Tech to perform service, diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance. Field Service Tech demonstrate strong mechanical repair skills and preventative maintenance Experience.

 Responsibilities and Expectations:

 Work safely alone and as part of a team

• Closely adhere to all safety standards and procedures
• Effectively contributes to a strong team environment through assisting teammates in accomplishing mutual goals
• Inspect and test various mechanical equipment
• Install/Remove AC and DC electric motors, laser align equipment, read precision measuring tools such as micrometers, replace sleeve and anti-friction bearings, set seals, air gap, torque critical components to proper torque specs
• Clean mechanical equipment utilizing bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaning
• Ensure a professional environment utilizing customer facing skills
• Complete assigned work in compliance with operative policies and procedures
• Perform work in compliance with operating policies and procedures

 Qualifications and Competencies:

Mechanical Maintenance 

1. Needs to have a solid working knowledge of basic mechanical skills.
2. Needs to be able to weld, with prior experience with stick welding and MIG welding, TIG is not a requirement but is a plus.
3. Need to be familiar with soldering or using a pro-press tool to connect copper pipe.
4. LOTO certified.
5. Be able to operate our forklifts and the MEWP.
6. Need to be trained in the red tape procedure we have at this facility.
7. Need to be trained on hot work permits and fire watch duties.
8. Need to have their own tools when on site.
9. Experience as structural welder (Stick & MIG) TIG is a plus. 
10. Expeience with soldering copper and ProPress     
11. Ability to collaborate with team members

• Qualified & Trained Forklift operator
• Strong customer focus with professional communication
• Available and willing to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends as required, willingness to be on call
• Experience in rotating equipment 
• Ability to perform math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division including understanding fractions and percentages
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

 Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 50 in weight
• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to perform manual labor for up to 12 or more hours per day
• Acute hearing and strong field of vision

• Ability to work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions
