Position Summary:

Alamon, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman/Apprentice Electrician for its Wireless department.

This position entails: Being a self-starter with a strong commitment to high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service skills, both in person and over the phone. This role requires the ability to multi-task under pressure and work independently. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing electrical distribution systems and related equipment. Wage is commensurate with experience.

Job Description:
  • Installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
  • Bending and installing EMT, IMC, and GRC up to two inches.
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently.
  • Proficiency with a laptop for effective communication and project management.
  • Reporting to the Project Foreman, including notifying them of any needed equipment and materials.
  • Interacting with and supporting Alamon team members from various divisions.
  • Effectively communicating with all members of the project team to ensure smooth operations.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Must pass the pre-employment screening process which includes a background check, drug test and motor vehicle records pull.
  • Have the ability and mentality to work outdoors, in a physically demanding work environment and all-weather conditions, lifting or moving up to 60lbs., and hiking over various terrain.
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no DUI / DWIs within the past 5 years.
  • Be available to work nights and weekends as required by project demands.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Journeyman or Apprentice License.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code.
  • Prior service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with UPS and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems is preferred.
Work Environment:
  • The work environment includes active construction sites and environmentally controlled indoor air sites. The employee may be subjected to noise levels which may range from low volumes to loud and all employees will be required to wear provided safety hearing devices.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to sixty pounds.
  • The ability to climb ladders, bend, stoop, and work in awkward positions for several hours at a time is required.
  • Must be able to work during inclement weather.
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel throughout the state of Texas will be required.
  • Lodging and transportation are provided while working and traveling for the Company.
Education and Experience:
  • Highschool Diploma or GED Preferred
