NCCER Certified Millwright

CL Construction is seeking an NCCER Certified Millwright to lead millwright projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This role involves managing teams, overseeing industrial equipment installations, precision alignment, pipefitting, and welding in ethanol plants and shutdown operations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and project success. This is a full time, long term position. 

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily tasks and job progress for assigned millwright teams.
• Collaborate with project engineers, general superintendents, and leadership to meet project goals.
• Identify potential delays and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractors.
• Train, mentor, and oversee millwright crews.
• Lead industrial machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Ensure precision alignment of rotating equipment (laser or dial indicators).
• Perform pipefitting and welding tasks (steam, gas, chemical processing systems).
• Oversee rigging and heavy equipment movement.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Manage shutdown projects, ensuring efficient disassembly, maintenance, and reassembly.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with engineering standards.

Requirements:

• NCCER Millwright Certification (Required)
• Shutdown project experience (Required)
• 5+ years of millwright experience (1+ year in a supervisory role)
• AWS Welding Certification (Preferred)
• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification (Preferred)
• Ethanol or industrial plant experience (Preferred)
• Pipefitting and/or welding experience (Preferred)
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
