We are looking for a Tool Room Attendant at a site in Hartwell, GA. The hours for this position are 6:00pm - 6:00am, currently working six nights a week (subject to change). 

A Construction Tool Room Attendant is responsible for managing and maintaining the tools and equipment on a construction site or in a tool room. Their main duties include issuing tools to workers, keeping track of inventory, performing maintenance and repairs on equipment, ensuring proper storage, and making sure that the tools are in good working condition. They may also handle requests for specialized equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management: Track the availability and usage of tools and equipment, ensuring that everything is accounted for and properly stored.
  2. Issuing Tools: Distribute tools to workers as needed and make sure tools are returned on time.
  3. Tool Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  4. Safety Compliance: Ensure that workers are using the tools properly and follow safety guidelines.
  5. Stock Replenishment: Order new tools and equipment as needed and ensure the tool room is adequately stocked.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of tool issuance, returns, repairs, and inventory levels.
  7. Organization: Keep the tool room clean and organized to allow quick access to necessary tools and minimize downtime.


Skills Required:

  • Organization: Being able to maintain a neat and well-ordered tool room is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring tools are properly maintained.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment to perform repairs or determine what needs attention.
  • Communication: Effectively communicating with workers to fulfill their tool and equipment needs.
  • Safety Awareness: Understanding and enforcing safety standards related to tool use.


It's a role that's very hands-on, requiring both organizational skills and a solid understanding of the tools involved in construction work. Pay will be $24 - $26 depending on experience.
