Under general supervision, performs safe and efficient duties necessary in the heavy construction industry. The incumbent will need to operate in a safe and efficient manner following all personal protective equipment (PPE) and process requirements. Must be able to travel (relocate) from jobsite to jobsite for continued employment, able to work both scheduled and non-scheduled overtime, and able to work night (second or third) shift assignment. If slipforming operation is in progress, able to work 12 hours or more per day, 7 days per week, for two weeks plus period of time.
Employees should have two years or more experience in the fabrication, assembling, erecting, bracing and shoring forms (falsework) for concrete construction and other purposes. Has the knowledge and ability to recognize common terms, materials, tools and equipment utilized in the craft/trade. Is experienced in the use of hand and power tools including portable equipment of the form builder's carpenter's trade. The general noise level is moderate. Work area is considered outdoors subject to the weather elements.
Employee should have own tool pouch and appropriate hand tools for the job.
