Position Summary:

We are seeking experienced Marine Pipe Insulators to join our team for shipyard work in Pascagoula, MS. This position involves the installation, removal, and repair of insulation materials on piping systems and ship structures aboard marine vessels.

Candidates must be skilled in working with rubber insulation (Rubatex), fiberglass, and calcium silicate, and must be comfortable working in physically demanding environments. This is a long-term opportunity offering competitive pay, consistent hours, and per diem for qualified travelers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install insulation on piping systems, including elbows, fittings, valves, and hangers.

• Work with a variety of materials: Rubatex, fiberglass, and calcium silicate.

• Remove and replace damaged insulation according to specifications and safety standards.

• Read and follow blueprints, isometric drawings, and verbal instructions.

• Make precise cuts and tight seals using hand tools and adhesives.

• Complete box wraps and bulkhead insulation to specification.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including confined spaces and elevated areas.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of marine or industrial insulation experience.

• Proficient in installing Rubatex and other marine insulation materials.

• Able to read blueprints and take precise measurements.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, kneeling, squatting).

• Must be willing to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed.

• Must pass all required testing. 

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay: $34.00/hour

• Per Diem: $147/day (up to $18.38/hour, max 8 hrs/day)

• Overtime Pay:

  • Time and a half after 40 hours/week

  • Double time on Sundays

• Voluntary OT available (Sign-up with foreman)

Work Schedule:

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

• Evening Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

• Guaranteed 40 hours/week with opportunities for OT

Hiring Process:

• Practical Skills Test: On-site (same-day results)

• Drug Screen: Results in 3–5 business days

  • Note: THC-positive may be retested via mouth swab

• Background Check: Begins after drug screen (5–7 business days)

• Orientation: Scheduled on the next available Monday or Wednesday
