Position Summary:

The Project Manager will provide leadership and management skills essential for overseeing industrial plant maintenance projects safely and efficiently, meeting deadlines and budgetary goals. The role involves coordinating maintenance programs, scope development, estimating, developing and optimizing maintenance strategies, and ensuring the reliability and safety of plant operations. The incumbent will cultivate relationships within the customer to identify growth opportunities and improve maintenance services.


Essential Job Functions:

• Maintenance Program Oversight: Manage all aspects of plant maintenance projects, ensuring timely and effective execution of maintenance tasks, including preventative, corrective, and shutdown activities.
• Safety Leadership: Actively participate in and lead maintenance safety programs; promote a culture of safety among all staff and contractors.
• Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules specific to maintenance tasks, considering downtime limitations and production impacts.
• Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative atmosphere within maintenance teams; mentor staff to enhance their technical and leadership skills.
• Technical Support: Provide engineering support for maintenance scope development, planning and execution, including troubleshooting, repair methodologies, and equipment upgrades.
• Change Management: Handle maintenance-related change orders, adhering to budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
• Client and Community Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for client interactions, addressing maintenance-related needs and inquiries.
• Planning and Reporting: Lead maintenance planning efforts and ensure compliance with company and client reporting requirements.
• Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for maintenance services and materials.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies for improving maintenance processes, reliability, and equipment performance.
• Other duties as assigned


Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

• Associate's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Experience in maintenance management may substitute for formal education.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Work Experience:

• Ten (10) years of experience in industrial plant maintenance, with supervisory experience in managing maintenance crews.

Certifications:

• Project Management certification preferred.
• Maintenance-specific safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30 for Maintenance, NFPA 70E) desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and control systems maintenance in an industrial setting.
• Safety Leadership: Experience with maintenance safety programs and procedures.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose equipment issues and recommend maintenance solutions.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting maintenance plans and performance reports.
