We are seeking a candidate who adheres to all Bechtel Construction Services and Bechtel safety procedures and protocols. The successful applicant will identify practices and conditions that are safe as well as those that are at risk and provide appropriate, on-the-spot corrective action if needed. You will be responsible for directing craft persons and working from ground and/or aerial devices.
The role will include inventorying against purchase orders to ensure proper equipment and/or materials are received in satisfactory condition. You will store, retrieve, load, and unload all types of materials from storage bins, pallets, and vehicles. Additionally, you will coordinate the storage and movement of equipment/materials between projects, project departments, and/or a warehouse or other approved facility.
Upon receipt of equipment/material requests from a project, you will retrieve and issue equipment/materials and maintain appropriate records of movements. You will move equipment/materials from the warehouse and prepare them for delivery to/from the project, pull materials for jobsite requirements and/or material move requests, and store equipment/materials in designated areas/facilities while maintaining appropriate records.
You will receive and resolve incoming requests involving transaction discrepancies reported by projects, review project requests, and remedy out-of-stock delays and/or mis-shipments. Keeping a running log of all consumable items used and reordering as needed will be part of your responsibilities, as well as maintaining various warehouse locations as required.
Tracking inventory, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and investigating discrepancies will be essential tasks. You will control inventory and confirm that physical inventory matches system inventory by performing full and cycle inventory counts. Running inventory analyses to solve inventory issues and reconcile discrepancies will also be part of your role.
You will adhere to Bechtel Standard Work Processes and Procedures (SWPP’s). Bechtel Construction Services reserves the right to assign jobs and tasks not specified above. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of Journeyworker experience.
