Job Summary:
The Solar Project Construction Scheduler will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules for solar construction projects using Primavera P6. This role involves close collaboration with pre-construction, project managers, and contractors to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Schedule Development: Create and maintain detailed project schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM) in Primavera P6.
- Resource Management: Develop resource-loaded schedules, perform resource analysis, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Schedule Monitoring: Regularly update project schedules to reflect changes in scope, timelines, and resources.
- Reporting: Generate and present schedule reports, including progress updates and critical path analysis, to project stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify potential scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to verify scheduling information and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure schedules meet established standards.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in project scheduling, with a focus on solar construction projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, including intermediate to advanced skills in schedule and cost control.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with resource-loaded CPM project schedules.
- Proven ability to run detailed reports in Primavera P6.
- Familiarity with solar construction processes and industry standards.

Physical Requirements:
- May be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephone, along with other general office equipment.
- Close vision abilities required due to computer work.
- Light to moderate lifting/carrying of 25 lbs may be required.
- Reaching overhead or below.
- Work environment may include being able to tolerate moderate noise (i.e., business office with computers, phones, printers, light traffic) .
- Ability to work in a confined area.
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
