We are currently seeking an Instrumentation Technician to provide services across the United States. You will gain experience in the field, build genuine relationships with like-minded professionals, and develop the necessary skills and knowledge needed to become a well-rounded I&E Technician! At Interstates, our I&E Technicians are using the latest Hart/TREX and Fluke communication and calibration devices.

(With 1-2 years of experience, you would be eligible to enroll in our DOL approved Electrical Apprentice program to double-up on your experience while working alongside experienced leaders, trainers, and licensing specialists who are dedicated to YOUR success. )

Responsibilities

  • Test, calibrate, repair, and modify electrical and control and instrumentation systems for plant production/process equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair PLC hardware panels including wiring, power supplies
  • Coordinate with plant operators to schedule outages when required for electrical and instrumentation repair/calibration

Qualifications/Must Haves:

  • Strong level of experience working with low-voltage transmitters (4-20 miliamp), control loops, valves and valve controllers, motor controllers and electrical systems
  • Ability to read schematics, technical drawings and manuals to isolate faults and repair equipment.
  • Display superior understanding of safety
  • Great communication skills

Education/Experience:

  • Certificate or Associates in Instrumentation or similar preferred but not required
  • OR - One year or more years of service or maintenance experience

Travel: 100%
Applicants must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. Per diem pay and mileage stipends applicable per company policy.
