We are looking for a process-driven and experienced painter to join our team. You'll be responsible for visiting homes and businesses to perform interior and exterior paint jobs, including touch-ups on old paint, filling in drywall holes, and mixing paint colors. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, is familiar with scaffold assembly, and using hand and power tools, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean space. Responsibilities

• Sanding, prepping, and refinishing kitchen cabinet doors and frames.
• Applying high-quality paint finishes and coatings.
• Ensuring smooth and durable surfaces for a professional, factory-like finish.
• Managing your time effectively to meet deadlines and complete jobs on schedule.
• Independently handling all aspects of cabinet refinishing from start to finish.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment both in the shop and at job sites.
• Communicating with the project manager about progress, potential issues, or delays.
• Working closely with clients when needed to ensure satisfaction with final results.
• Traveling to job sites with provided vehicle (local Pittsburgh area).
• Get surfaces ready to be painted by sanding away old paint and filling holes and cracks with putty
• Treat painted surfaces with primer or sealer
• Cover trim, fixtures, furniture, and floors to protect them from paint
• Leave the work area clean once the project has been completed
• Build scaffolding when needed

Qualifications

• Highly skilled in kitchen cabinet refinishing, including sanding, painting, and finishing techniques.
• Proven experience in refinishing cabinets, with the ability to complete projects efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
• Ability to complete 30-door kitchen projects within 5 business days, ensuring high-quality work.
• Must be comfortable working both in the shop and on-site at customer locations.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellent craftsmanship.
• Reliable, responsible, and a strong communicator.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (vehicle provided).
• Applicants that are detail-oriented and possess strong time management and communications are preferred
• Driver's license required
• 2+ years work experience and completed apprenticeship is preferred, but not required
