Job Description
These inspectors will be assigned to a shop environment to perform MT inspections on structural welds. Some climbing and crawling will be required, and the MT inspectors will be expected to perform minor grinding for relevancy checks during the inspections. Able to work weekends and Up to 12 hours per shift, able to lift 50 lbs., climb vertical ladders, crawl in tanks and confined spaces, and not be afraid of heights. Candidates will be tested.
Qualifications
All inspectors shall have documented qualifications/certifications to the Level II requirements for ASNT's SNT-TC-1A, 2001 Edition, or later must be turned in with the application.
Inspectors shall have passed written general theory and procedure-specific examinations for the applicable methods. An examination will cover the specifications, codes, and acceptance criteria used in the appropriate NDT procedures, demonstrate the ability to operate the necessary NDT equipment and record and analyze the resultant information.
