Summary:

Colorado State Electrical Journeyman with ability to perform electrical commercial or industrial with minimal supervision in a high quality and safe manner.

Essential Accountabilities: The following are intended to be examples of the accountabilities for which the person in this position is responsible. This position has been designated as safety sensitive. It is a position that includes tasks and duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee or others. The position requires the employee's full and unimpaired skills and judgment to safely execute all job responsibilities.

  1. Colorado State-Issued Electrical Journeyman license or equivalent experience with management approval.
  2. Maintains 80% production rate when provided the proper tools, material and equipment.
  3. Completion of 8 hours of continuing education each year.
  4. Four years documented work in electrical commercial or industrial construction.
  5. Five-seven years' experience performing quality electrical installations.
  6. OSHA 10 Hour Awareness Training (or Ludvik will provide if you do not have an OSHA10)
  7. Plans and performs job installing and maintain various electrical equipment such as control panels, switchboards, junction boxes, and switches.
  8. Connects and disconnects electric powered machines.
  9. Repairs motors and generators.
  10. Replaces fuses and sets circuit breakers on high- and low-tension circuits.
  11. Diagnoses electrical problems and must be able to work from a wiring diagram.
  12. Works independently and on a team.
  13. May provide direction to less experienced electricians.
  14. Assists in evaluating and mentoring apprentices.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

CO State issued journeyman license.

Demonstrated working knowledge of the NEC.

Graduate of apprenticeship program and/or completion of 24 hours of continuing education each year.
