This role requires a proactive individual capable of leading projects, supervising junior staff, and ensuring all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations.

Pay: $30 to $50 per hour, DOE
Licenses/Certifications Required:
Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map out the layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
- Install pipes and fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
- Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals and non-metals.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems, including water heaters, boilers, and other appliances.
- Diagnose and repair issues such as leaks, clogs, or system malfunctions.
- Conduct pressure tests to identify leaks and ensure system integrity.
- Ensure all plumbing work adheres to local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Conduct inspections and system testing to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Provide training and mentorship to apprentice and journeyman plumbers.
- Coordinate with other construction team members to integrate plumbing with other building systems.
- Prepare and provide detailed cost estimates for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including reports and documentation.
- Respond to emergency plumbing calls and provide timely solutions.
Qualifications:
- Valid Plumber license.
- Extensive experience in plumbing within the commercial sector.
- General Maintenance experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and plumbing standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and heights.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to talk or hear, stand, walk, bend, stoop, stretch, twist, use hands, and/or reach out for prolonged periods of time to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
- Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.
- Dexterity: Cutting and threading pipes, attaching fittings, and welding seams
- Balance and agility: Working at heights and in awkward positions
- Hearing sensitivity: Being able to tell the difference between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness
- Must be aware of OSHA safety standards
