Description Encore Electric, Inc. is a licensed Wyoming Electrical Contractor with long-term, consistent work in Cheyenne. We are looking for the best electricians out there that expect more from their employer. OVERVIEW:

The Journeyman directs the tasks of Apprentices and potentially other Journeymen electricians and participates in commercial electrical construction and service work.

  • COMPENSATION: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour + an additional hourly amount as a job site incentive!!!
  • HOURS: 50-58 hours per week (no overtime is guaranteed)

General Responsibilities

  • Works with a commitment to safety

  • Keeps work area clean
  • Installs quality work in a neat and workmanship like manner
  • Treats tools with respect
  • Works and climbs on ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms
  • Identifies electrical parts and components
  • Perform strenuous physical work i.e., digging, kneeling, shoveling, lifting, pulling, pushing, climbing
  • Keeps up with changing technology
  • Keeps up with the national electrical code
  • Wears tools at all required times
  • Work in all weather conditions
Physical Requirements:

A functional physical is required to be completed and passed before work can be performed in all field positions. The physical requirements can often be completed repetitively and for extended periods of time. These requirements include:

  • Driving
  • Sitting
  • Climbing
  • Lifting, floor to chest (up to 50lbs)
  • Lifting, floor to waist (up to 50lbs)
  • Lifting, waist to overhead (up to 30lbs each arm)
  • Carrying (up to 50lbs)
  • Standing
  • Stooping
  • Vision acuity (near, far and without color deficiencies)
  • Walking
  • Kneeling
  • Trimming (final installation of electrical devices)
  • Pushing (up to 100lbs)
  • Pulling (up to 100lbs)
Requirements:

  • Degree in related field is required such as four years of apprenticeship training or three years of apprenticeship training with two year degree from technical college.
  • A Journeyman Wireman's license from the State of Wyoming or reciprocating State is required. High level of energy and sense of urgency are preferred.
